F. Joseph Thomas, Founder & Chairman
With a passion for electronics and a Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Joe Thomas provides the strategic direction that has led A3 Communications to become one of America’s top system integrators.
Following his tenure at prestigious companies including Lockheed Martin and Bechtel, Joe followed his desire to innovate by opening his own software development firm in 1990. Experiencing an impressive degree of success within a short time, A3 expanded services to include data networking and security. Soon after, Joe, an engineer with a keen eye towards future trends, anticipated the Internet-based assimilation of technologies and became an early adopter of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). With the additions of the fiber/cabling and physical security divisions in the 2000s and electrical services in 2014, Joe has developed the company into what it is today – an all-inclusive communications, electrical and information technology service provider.
Brian Thomas, President & Chief Executive Officer
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Brian Thomas oversees the corporate leadership and strategy of A3 Communications, including marketing, sales, consulting and technical support.
Brian joined the company in 2006 as Vice President of Sales. After six consecutive years of increased profits, Brian was named President in 2012. Under his leadership, A3’s reputation flourished and the firm quickly became an internationally recognized and award-winning system integrator. Prior to joining A3, Brian held various sales and management roles in the telecommunications and mortgage industries throughout Atlanta, Georgia. Brian is also an Honor Graduate of the United States Marine Corps and a graduate from Leadership Columbia – a program where he worked and studied with an elite team of South Carolina’s brightest business leaders.
Dave Lewis, Chief Financial Officer
Dave Lewis, Chief Financial Officer for A3 Communications, upholds company integrity, ensuring strict adherence to business protocol, while encouraging clear and effective communication. He is responsible for managing A3’s strong working capital and ample credit facilities by maintaining banking relations, cash management, budgeting and forecasting. To ensure A3 is positioned to serve both current and future clients, Dave keeps strong balance sheets, with quick ratio averaging 1.75 debt-to-equity ratios well below industry standards. He has over 25 years of experience in the private industry and has served on senior and executive teams for companies with revenues of $25-200 million.
Scott Grainger, RCDD, Vice President of Physical Security
As Vice President of Physical Security, Scott Grainger successfully leads his department, one of the most profitable in the company, while providing oversight and management of all security and surveillance projects.
Responsible for increasing the safety and productivity of A3’s customers, Scott is an industry-leading expert in all facets of information technology, including structure cabling, video surveillance, access control, enterprise wireless networking and unified communications. His extensive technical background offers more than 15 years of security and project management experience, as well as multiple, coveted certifications and licenses. Scott eagerly lends his assistance to every department of the company, ensuring the complete support of our employees and satisfaction of our clients.
Chad Hendrix, Vice President of Engineering
Chad Hendrix, Vice President of Engineering, is responsible for the overall direction of the A3 Communications engineering department. After joining the firm in 2005 as a senior systems engineer, Chad now supports all seven branches with advanced network design and project management to guarantee system compatibility and quality for all customers.
With two decades of experience and dedication to ongoing education and training, Chad is currently certified CCNP Wireless, CCNP Route and Switch, CCNA Security, CCNA Wireless, CCNA, CCDA, AWLAN-SE, CS-CFEFS, ACWA, BCNE, HP Master ASE, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, EDP, Exacq Technical Engineer, XCWT and Extreme Networks Design professional. Today, Chad manages a team of certified engineers and field technicians who design and build the infrastructure required to support the next-generation networks of A3 Communications’ clients. His prior experience as a network engineer and systems administrator grant insight into the challenges faced by his staff who regard him as a mentor, in addition to his customers who depend on his industry expertise.
Hunter Thornton, Vice President of Sales
Hunter Thornton, Vice President of Sales, oversees sales opportunities and processes at A3 Communications, Inc. Responsible for strategic development, Hunter joined the firm in 2017 and works with all offices to promote sustainable growth and a consistent, exceptional customer experience.
With a business development career spanning more than a decade, Hunter uses his diagnostic sales and relationship experience to continually improve and standardize the sales and delivery process across our Southeastern locations. In addition, he recruits and retains top talent, pre-emptively resolves client concerns and plans pipeline and growth strategies, evolving with industry trends.
Michelle Moshinskie, CSMA, Director of Marketing and Communications
As Director of Marketing and Communications, Michelle Moshinskie joined A3 in 2012 to increase the firm’s reach to all corners of the Southeast and beyond. By collaborating with senior staff to develop organizational policies and priorities, Michelle provides creative direction and oversight to ensure consistent branding and communications for A3’s seven offices. Michelle is integral to the sales process and supports all staff by maintaining distributor relationships, managing conference exhibits and assisting with lead generation.
Prior to her current role, Michelle designed and implemented comprehensive marketing, advertising and procurement initiatives for small advertising agencies and large, national corporations. She has 11 years of experience and is a Certified Social Marketing Associate and Competent Internet Marketer.
