About A3
A3 Communications was founded in 1990 in Columbia, South Carolina, and from offices
in Columbia, Charleston and Greenville, currently provides business information
technology and communications services to over 2,500 clients in the Carolinas and
Georgia. Joseph Thomas, our President, with a University of South Carolina Master's
degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, started in the communications industry
19 years ago, and has successfully expanded A3 into a substantial business operation.
We provide telecommunications systems, local and wide area networks for single and
multiple locations, structured wiring systems and wireless solutions through our
four profit centers: sales, installation and service of telephone systems, installation
and service of LAN/WAN network systems, cabling, audio/visual systems and surveillance.
Through long-term partnerships with telecom vendors such as Avaya and Mitel, along
with strategic relationships with IBM, HP and Cisco, the company has the ability
to provide end-to-end telecommunications systems using the most cost-effective technology,
including the latest IP convergence products. Having an established track record
in the implementation of IP Telephony along with a keen understanding of the associated
infrastructure requirements provides A3 Communications a leadership position in
the convergence marketplace.
Our business is supported by an experienced management team from operations and
service, sales and marketing, accounting and human resources. The company's commitment
to service excellence has earned it an outstanding reputation as a strategic partner
to the many organizations and businesses it serves.
A3 is a member of the Building Industry Consulting Service International
(BICSI), and proud
to employ multiple full-time
RCDDs
(Registered Communications Distribution Designers) on staff. The company is also
a member of the
Greater Columbia
Chamber of Commerce
